Yamaha Motor Malaysia (HLYM) has lauched their 2021 Yamaha Y16ZR.

According to Dato’ Jim Khor, Group Managing Director of Hong Leong Industries Berhad, “The All-New Yamaha Y16ZR comes with a string of new special features and stays true to Yamaha’s DNA which is synonymous to Performance, Style and Innovation. It is different in all aspects beginning with its new drivetrain to its design and mechanical components.”

ENJIN 155CC - WITH THE ALL NEW VVA

The heart of the most powerful drive in its class, the all-new 155cc, 4-stroke, 4-valve, SOHC liquid-cooled engine with VVA.

GEARBOX 6 SPEED - WITH INDIVIDUAL IGNITION MAPPING FOR EACH GEAR

Featuring different ignition mapping for each gear, it produces a thrust of 17.7Hp @ 9,500 rpm and a top torque of 14.4 Nm @ 8,000 rpm.

LEVER PULLER - SHORTER CLUTCH

Now 10mm shorter, it is able to provide a shorter grip and more comfortable when changing gears.

KLAC - ‘ASSIST & SLIPPER’

The two -piston brake caliper on the front wheels offers stability when braking with a front disc brake size measuring 245mm.

SEAT - NEW STYLE SEPARATE TYPE

Ergonomic anti-slip seat saddle design follows the contours of the rider's seat for a more comfortable ride.

LED HEADLIGHTS - SEPARATE HIGH AND LOW

Inspired by motorsport, the low -beam headlights are located on the handle bar section while the high -beam is combined with the position lights, at the bottom, giving an unparalleled sporty front look.

METER DIGITAL LCD - ON A DARK BASIS

The new LCD digital unit panel that displays all information such as speed, rpm level, gear position, VVA indicator etc. on a dark basis, provides clear graphical contrast.

BACKLIGHT - NEW LED

Appearing more stylish, slimmer, more pointed with an LED taillight design inspired by the YZF-R1 model, it blends in perfectly with the body contours of the motorcycle.

LOCK SYSTEM - SMART

The engine can be started easily just by turning the button without having to enter the key. The system also has a ‘call-back’ function to find the position of the motorcycle. Equipped with 'immobilizer' to prevent theft.

POWER SOCKET - 12V DC

To make it easier for you to charge any of your smart devices, a 12V DC socket with a maximum capacity of 1.0A is provided.

STOP SWITCH - NEW ENGINE

You can turn off the engine immediately by simply pressing a special switch combined with the main switch, in case of an emergency, for your safety.
