With a new YZF-R1 superbike inspired look the 2020 Yamaha YZF-R25 is said to be faster by 8kmph than the previous model. No changes have been made to its engine. It uses the same 249cc, twin-cylinder DOHC engine paired to a 6-speed gearbox. This liquid-cooled motor pushes out a maximum power of 35.5bhp at 12,00rpm and 22.6Nm of torque at 10,000rpm.

The suspension setup of the 2020 Yamaha R25 includes the upside-down forks with gold anodized fork tubes and a preload adjustable monoshock unit at the rear. The braking duties are done by dual-piston calipers on a single disc and a single-piston caliper on the front and rear wheel respectively. The new model offers a seat height of 758mm, which is 22mm less than the old model. It has a fuel tank capacity of 14-litres.  The 2020 Yamaha YZF-R25 is now available in two new colours: Matt Silver and Matt Blue.
