In 2002, a limited-production Centennial Edition (CE) Daytona 955i was offered. The 955i CE had several noteworthy additions to and differences from the non-CE '02 double-sided swing arm Daytona 955i.

The 200 units of the Daytona 955i Centennial Edition was painted in Aston (British Racing) Green.

In 2002, 46 units of limited-production Special Edition (SE) Daytona 955i was offered, and are considerably more rarer. The 955i Special Edition model has the same specifications as the Centennial Edition, except with Tornado Red body work and without the centennial logo badge on the fuel tank.

They were build in March 2002, just before a factory fire.  It was build for the German market although it was converted back to UK specifications and sold in the UK due to low availability because of the fire.

The 955i CE features

- 46 units made
- One colour option of Tornado Red was offered.

- Carbon fiber inlaid panels between the gas tank and tail fairing.

- Carbon fiber rear wheel hugger.
- Single-sided swing arm (like the previous and later Daytona 955i).
- Forged steel crankshaft, forged steel connecting rods, and forged aluminum pistons; non-CE/SE 955i engines had cast versions of these components. These engine components are the most distinctive CE/SE-specific options, and increased the maximum power output significantly compared to the cast-component engines.
