The Kawasaki Concours14 ABS motorcycle offers far more than its powerful punch riders rave about. The 1,352cc four-cylinder engine boasts Variable Valve Timing (VVT) for economy and smooth responses, providing the kind of torque that makes relaxed, sixth-gear overtaking maneuvers easy.

With Kawasaki’s supersport expertise, the Concours14 ABS motorcycle benefits from industry-leading technology, from the K-ACT ABS brakes to KTRC traction control and a Fuel Economy Assistance Mode to help the rider feel more confident during an extended time in the saddle. For convenience it also has a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) as well as KIPASS, which allows the ignition switch to be operated and locked without removing the key.

The seat is sculpted and narrow near the front to help the rider reach the ground more easily, and also provides improved comfort and a stylish look. At the rear, the seat is flat and long to keep the passenger at maximum comfort, mile after mile. The adjustable rear suspension features an initial plush feel to absorb small chatter, but stiffens the further it travels in the stroke to maintain the motorcycle’s legendary handling when carrying a passenger and full luggage.

Motorcyclists who wish to use the 2017 Kawasaki Concours14 ABS motorcycle for long distance touring will be extremely pleased to hear that an optional touring seat is available under the impressive list of Kawasaki Genuine Accessories. The touring seat provides enhanced comfort for extended journeys and now, thanks to an innovative outer material, is more resistant to heat accumulation when exposed to the sun. This is the anti-U/V material’s first application in the motorcycle industry.

Additional comfort features include a two-position adjustable vent on the electronically raised windshield. This windshield improves the airflow around the rider and reduces the buffeting effect, since the vent removes the low-pressure zone in the cockpit.
