From Ducati website:

With Panigale V2 SP, the SP initials return to their original meaning. Based on the Panigale V2 S, the V2 SP is created as a homologated version by Ducati Corse to compete in the WorldSSP Championship. A longer swingarm, dry clutch, and forged wheels, together with Öhlins suspension and the Winter Test livery, create a distinctly race-inspired look.

A balanced design.
A precise balance between power and style. The compact proportions and clean design define the character of the Panigale V2 SP: sporty, dynamic and immediately recogniSable. The Winter Test livery emphasises the sports spirit, while the white details accentuate the shapes, reinforcing its identity.

Design inspired by the Panigale V4
The new Panigale V2 SP is a direct descendent of the Panigale V2 S, the first Supersport in Ducati history to be designed from scratch without being derived directly from higher-displacement models. An autonomous project, developed around a new mechanical base and designed to express its very own identity. The design is inspired by the Panigale V4, with proportions and concepts that are reinterpreted around the new mechanical base, for a new addition that becomes part of the 2027 Panigale V2 range.

Design and balance
The horizontal dynamic of the Panigale V2 SP, less loaded at the front, emphasises the compact, balanced proportions. The clean, minimalist design is defined by broad, flowing yet taut surfaces that sculpt complex forms without adding visual weight. The result is a sports bike with strong identity and an immediately recognisable character, the perfect balance of aggression and elegance, like every Ducati superbike.

Seat designed for maximum control
The rider’s seat, at a height of 837 mm, allows feet to touch the ground easily and safely, for greater safety during manoeuvres. The semi-handlebars are positioned at a height that reduces load on the wrists and improves riding control, while the footpegs are designed to limit knee fatigue without compromising on the freedom of movement sports riding requires.

Winter Test livery
The Panigale V2 SP adopts the Winter Test livery, which adds to the minimalist, racing character. Matte black Dark Stealth tones are paired with white details on the fairings and white wheels, for a clear and immediately impactful contrast.

The white finish of the wheels is not only an aesthetic choice: during track use, it limits heat absorption in the front-end area. Reflecting the heat in a more efficient way, it helps reduce thermal stress and keep tyre performance more consistent.

Higher front fairing
The Panigale V2 SP comes complete with a racing front fairing in thermoformed material. 40 mm higher than that of the S version, it offers the rider better aerodynamic protection.

V2 twin engine: the light heart of performance.
Experience the adrenaline on track with the V2 twin. With a weight of just 54.4 kg and 120 hp of power (+6 hp with the racing exhaust), you can enjoy every acceleration with greater intensity and immediacy, for the ultimate riding thrill.

Just 54kg. The lightest Ducati V2 ever
The Panigale V2 SP mounts the 120 hp 90° V2 twin-cylinder engine. Euro 5+ homologated, it is up to 9 kg lighter than the previous Superquadro and approximately 5.8 kg lighter than the Testastretta Evoluzione and the Desmodue that equip the Scrambler®.

The project is built around sophisticated engineering solutions, like the aluminium cylinder liners and pump positioned in the crankcase. The engine also introduces the Intake Variable Timing (IVT) system to enhance power delivery, offering the rider a linear response at lows revs, robust mid-range torque, and top-end performance.

Iconic 90° configuration
The 90° architecture of the new V2 engine continues the Ducati tradition of sporty power units. Narrow and distinctive in both sound and power delivery, the V-cylinder configuration also provides inherent first-order force balance, eliminating the need for a balancer shaft to reduce vibrations.

Power to weight ratio: 120 hp and 176 kg
The Panigale V2 SP combines a weight of just 176 kg with power of 120 hp, which grows by 6 hp to reach 126 hp with the racing exhaust. An exciting weight to power ratio, making every acceleration more intense and immediate, for standout performance on track.

Smoother at low rpm thanks to Intake Variable Timing
Thanks to the Intake Variable Timing (IVT) system, the Ducati twin engine delivers very linear torque from low revs, with consistently sharp throttle response and the performance of a sporty engine at high revs. The IVT system progressively varies the intake valve timing across a 52° range, using a phase variator fitted to the end of the camshaft.

STM EVO-SBK dry clutch
The Panigale V2 SP mounts the STM EVO-SBK dry clutch, a solution that optimises anti-hop system function, making throttle-off transitions smoother and allowing more precise engine-braking adjustment. With the use of Ducati Corse Performance Oil, developed for track use, it’s possible to gain another 1.2 hp. A dry clutch cover in carbon fibre is also available as supporting content, for track use only.

Racing exhaust
For riders who want to use the Panigale V2 SP in its natural setting on track, the racing exhaust can be mounted, which increases maximum power to 126 hp, for a 6 hp boost with respect to the standard power and a weight reduction of 4.5 kg.

Built for the track.
Select components and an advanced chassis enhance the behaviour of the Panigale V2 SP on track, developed to raise riding precision and efficiency to new levels. The monocoque frame, fully adjustable Öhlins suspension, longer swingarm and lighter forged aluminium wheels help make the bike more efficient and offer the rider greater control on track.

Monocoque frame
The chassis of the new Panigale V2 SP retains its monocoque structure, which serves as both frame and airbox and exploits the V2 engine as a structural element. A compact, lightweight solution that sees the Panigale V2 SP achieve a kerb weight (without fuel) of 176 kg.

Benchmark suspension for the category
Suspension on the Panigale V2 SP is fully adjustable, allowing the rider to customise the setting of the new Ducati sports bike. The package includes an Öhlins NIX-30 fork with 43 mm stanchions and an Öhlins shock absorber, premium components for the category.

Longer double-sided swingarm
Among the most significant technical updates is the new swingarm, 30 mm longer than that of the Panigale V2 S. By increasing the wheelbase, this solution helps shift load to the front end, improving riding stability and precision and reducing the tendency to wheelie under acceleration.

The double-sided swingarm takes up the Hollow Symmetrical Swingarm design of the Panigale V4 and offers the same benefits in terms of corner exit stability and riding feeling on track.

Superbike-type brakes
The new Panigale V2 SP is equipped with a Brembo system developed to offer significant power on track and excellent modulation in everyday use on the road.

At the front, the M50 monobloc callipers with four 30 mm pistons act on 320 mm discs while the master cylinder is radial or PR16/21. At the rear, the Panigale V2 SP mounts a single 245 disc.

Tank moulded for the track
The Panigale V2 SP tank has a similar ergonomic shape to that of the Panigale V4, designed to offer the rider greater support when braking or hanging off mid turn. The contact surfaces, with no metallic parts, provide better grip for the knees, helping to reduce load on the arms during braking and limit the physical effort required to maintain a hanging off position through the turn.

Wheels and tyres
The Panigale V2 SP mounts tangential five-spoke forged aluminium wheels that are 1.5 kg lighter than those of the V2 S. The reduced weight increases the bike’s agility thanks to a reduction in the moment of inertia (-27% at the front, -21% at the back), also improving performance under acceleration.

The wheels flaunt a white finish, to match elements of the livery, a choice that is not simply aesthetic but also functional. The white colour reflects the heat more efficiently, limiting absorption in the front-end area during track use to reduce thermal stress and keep tyre performance more consistent.
Dedicated electronics for maximum efficiency.

Dedicated electronics, conceived to support the rider during every riding phase, from road to track. The Panigale V2 SP shares an electronics package with the Panigale V2 S that is designed to maximise performance in total safety and ensure complete control in every situation.

Riding Modes and Power Modes
The Riding Modes on the Panigale V2 SP allow the rider to choose between four base configurations (Race, Sport, Road and Wet), to adapt the bike to the riding conditions.
Each Riding Mode has preset levels of performance and electronic control intervention, which can be customised by the rider. Three different engine responses can also be selected and modified (High, Medium and Low Power Mode, with power limited to 95 hp), as can the ABS, Wheelie Control, Traction

Control and Engine Brake intervention levels.
With the dashboard set to Track Info Mode, control levels can also be modified in real time, while riding.

Bosch Cornering ABS
The Panigale V2 SP is equipped with Cornering ABS, a function that also extends ABS intervention to cornering. The system can be set according to three levels, designed to adapt to different riding needs, from road to track, as well as conditions of low grip.

Level 3 is suited to road use and situations of low grip, while levels 2 and 1 are more oriented towards sports riding and track use.

Level 2, recommended for amateur riders on track, acts on both the front and rear braking system and keeps the Cornering function active, without lift-up control, for sports-style braking. Level 1 is recommended for expert users on track and ensures racing intervention of the ABS system that acts only on the front wheel.

Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC)
Panigale V2 SP is equipped with the latest version of Ducati Wheelie Control, which exploits data from the 6-axis IMU to manage the wheelie in acceleration. The system helps the rider to control and wheelie and allows them to achieve maximum acceleration easily and safely.

Ducati Traction Control (DTC)
Ducati Traction Control interfaces with the 6-axis IMU to adapt intervention and slip to the bike’s lean angle. The system can be adjusted according to 8 levels - six of which for dry conditions and two for wet - allowing the rider to adapt the control strategy to suit their riding style and the grip conditions, for maximum performance.

Engine Brake Control (EBC)
The Engine Brake Control is developed to optimise bike stability during the challenging corner entry phase, modulating the engine brake effect and balancing the forces that act on the rear tyre under intense deceleration.

Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) 2.0
The new Panigale V2 SP adopts the second-generation Ducati Quick Shift 2.0 that debuted on the new Panigale V4. With respect to a traditional quick shift, the gear lever does away with the “micro-switch”, for more direct feel when shifting up and down, reduced lever travel and more consistent performance. This is made possible by a strategy that uses a sensor positioned on the gear drum to provide information.

Ducati Power Launch and Ducati Pit Limiter as standard
The new Panigale V2 SP features Ducati Power Launch and Ducati Pit Limiter as standard. The first is a system that guarantees lightning starts, allowing the rider to focus solely on managing clutch release, while the second, which can be activated by pressing the dedicated button, limits the bike’s speed along the pit lane.
