From Ducati website:

Muscular, sporty and unmistakable, Diavel V4 evolves in its design and technology, with new style details and technological updates that accentuate its sophisticated sports character. The V4 S version brings Öhlins electronic suspension to the family for the first time, further enhancing the sports spirit and raising the technological refinement to a new level. And with Ducati Factory Made, there are even more customisation options with which to make every Diavel V4 even more unique.

Power and character with the V4 Granturismo.
The 1158 cc, 168 hp V4 Granturismo engine highlights the sports attitude of Diavel V4, combining thrilling performance with fluid, linear power delivery. New electronic throttle management and the Ducati Quick Shift 2.0 make the riding experience more precise, smooth and engaging, delivering exhilarating acceleration without sacrificing on everyday comfort and refinement.

Power and torque across the entire rev range
With power of 168 hp at 10,750 rpm and 126 Nm (12.8 kgm) at 7500 rpm, the V4 Granturismo engine presents a particularly linear torque curve to ensure a smooth, progressive response at all engine speeds.

Counter-rotating crankshaft
Use of the counter-rotating crankshaft, a MotoGP-derived solution, helps counteract the gyroscopic effect of the wheels, for better handling and agility and reduced pitching under acceleration and braking. A technical solution that makes for more precise, comfortable riding, delivering tangible benefits during spirited riding, everyday use and touring, even with a full load.

Extended rear bank deactivation
The enhanced rear-cylinder deactivation strategy delivers even greater fuel efficiency than before. Previously, the rear cylinder bank was deactivated only when the motorcycle was stationary; now, the system also operates while riding, deactivating cylinders according to engine speed and torque demand. This innovation helps reduce both fuel consumption and emissions, ensuring lower running costs.

Characteristic V4 sound
The rear-cylinder deactivation system, which allows the V4 Granturismo to operate with two or four cylinders, alters the sound profile as the system switches between configurations. With only the two front cylinders activated, the sound is deeper, characterised by lower frequencies. With all four cylinders in operation, the sound is richer and the frequencies higher.

Thermal comfort and contained vibration
V4 Granturismo development has also considered consumption and comfort: the extended rear bank deactivation system acts when the bike is stationary, with engine on, and when travelling at low engine loads. This reduces consumption and improves the thermal comfort of rider and passenger.

Factory-customisable clutch
The Ducati Factory Made customisation options include the dry clutch, an exclusive solution on the global motorcycling landscape. The Ducati Performance catalogue also offers the possibility to select the open dry clutch kit.

Contained servicing costs
For the V4 Granturismo, the main service interval for checking valve clearances is 60,000 km, setting a record that raises the reliability standard and lowers maintenance costs.

Akrapovič full racing exhaust available as an accessory
Born from a collaboration between Ducati and Akrapovič, the titanium silencer (not homologated for road use) with four dB killers and a carbon cover combines lightness and performance with a design that integrates with the sports character of Diavel V4. Less weight and higher power help make the ride even more engaging, while titanium and carbon finishes underline the bike’s racing identity.

Aluminium monocoque frame and single-sided swingarm
The Diavel V4 chassis is based on a lightweight aluminium monocoque frame affixed to the engine heads, paired with a cast aluminium single-sided swingarm and a rear steel trellis subframe.

Advanced suspension, with Öhlins Smart-EC 3.0 on the Diavel V4 S
The standard version of Diavel V4 is equipped with a 50 mm fork and a rear shock, both fully adjustable, to deliver the ideal balance of comfort, precision and dynamic behaviour.

Diavel V4 S introduces Öhlins Smart-EC 3.0 event-based, semi-active suspension to the model for the first time, with a 48 mm NIX30 fork and ARX40 shock absorber. Both are fully adjustable for damping and preload, and stand out for their smooth operation, which allows them to absorb even the smallest imperfections in the road surface with ease. The third-generation Öhlins Smart EC 3.0 event-based control system allows suspension behaviour to be managed via the OBTi (Objective Based Tuning Interface), now with updated functionality.

The fork and shock absorber feature spool-type hydraulic valves, which deliver greater responsiveness to changes in damping force and a wider range of adjustment. This technology allows settings to be tailored more closely to either comfort or sporty riding, through different Suspension Modes associated with the respective Riding Modes, reducing the compromises involved in suspension setup.

For sports riding, a new strategy increases the fork’s rebound damping as the brake is released, keeping more weight on the front end. The result is quicker turn-in and an improved ability to hold the line through corners, with the effect becoming progressively more pronounced in the sportier.

Suspension Modes.
The Cruise Detection function further heightens the versatility of Diavel V4 S, recognising constant-speed riding conditions, such as during motorway cruising, and automatically softening the suspension to significantly increase rider comfort.

Ergonomics for increased comfort
The Diavel V4 riding position reinforces the bike’s sporty character while ensuring comfort.

At 790 mm from the ground, the seat has been totally redesigned with respect to the previous generation to offer more longitudinal space, optimum support under strong acceleration, and significant lateral freedom of movement when leaning, thanks also to seamless integration with the fuel tank and centrally positioned footpegs.

The wide, raised handlebar maintains the position introduced with the previous generation, 20 mm closer to the rider, for guaranteed comfort and control in every situation.

Passenger comfort
Diavel V4 allows the riding pleasure to be shared with a passenger: simply replace the tail section cover with the dedicated seat and pull out the grab handle and rear footpegs. Spacious and generously padded, the passenger seat provided ensures a comfortable ride even on longer journeys.

Brembo Stylema braking system
The braking system confirms the model’s benchmark configuration, with twin 330 mm front discs, Brembo Stylema callipers and Cornering ABS, paired with a 265 mm rear disc. A solution that guarantees advanced braking power, modulation and consistent performance.

Five-spoke wheel design
The wheels contribute to giving the Diavel V4 an even more dynamic and contemporary look. Produced in aluminium alloy with a five-spoke design on the standard version, the new wheels on the Diavel V4 S are in cast aluminium and feature spokes with additional machined details for a distinctive finish.

New Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres
The Diavel V4 mounts Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres, used for the first time in a 240/45 rear tyre size on the V4 RS. The tyres offer excellent grip under acceleration and a strong sense of road contact mid-turn, offering more effective dynamic vehicle behaviour in combination with the new aluminium wheels. The new Diavel V4 delivers more neutral behaviour when turning with respect to the previous model, with an improved ability to hold its line for more rewarding sports riding.

Display and controls with the new 6.9” TFT
Diavel V4 adopts the 6.9” full TFT colour display of the new Panigale V4, complete with 8:3 aspect ratio and optical bonding technology. The dash presents a dedicated version of Road Info Mode, with an interface divided into three vertical areas that can be managed via rocker switches on the left block.
The layout places the circular rev counter at the centre of the display, complete with a gear position indicator and flanked by two LEDs dedicated to the DAVC controls and the rev limiter. The side columns provide access to the main information and functions, including Turn-by-Turn navigation, the Ducati Multimedia System and cruise control.

The interface dynamically rearranges the available space to ensure maximum visibility of the functions in use, while a new 20 W USB-C port allows the smartphone to be charged. When the fuel level is low, the display keeps both the fuel gauge and remaining range clearly visible.

Road Info Mode and new controls
The new Road Info Mode organises information on the 6.9” TFT display into three vertical areas, adapting the view to the functions used. The new handlebar blocks, with rocker switch on the left side, complete an interface designed to make interaction with the bike’s functions more intuitive and immediate.

Riding Modes: Sport, Touring, Urban, Wet
The Diavel V4 is equipped with four Riding Modes: Sport, Touring, Urban and Wet.

Sport Riding Mode
Sport is the most high-performance mode. In this mode, the Diavel V4 unleashes its full 168 hp with a direct, punchy response. Ducati Traction Control and Ducati Wheelie Control intervention is reduced to a minimum and ABS is set to level 2, allowing for controlled rear wheel lift to maximise performance under braking while retaining the Cornering function. The ideal choice for expert riders who want to fully exploit the performance of Diavel V4.

Touring Riding Mode
In Touring Riding Mode, maximum power of the Diavel V4 remains at 168 hp, but delivery becomes smoother and more progressive. DTC and DWC increases for greater vehicle control. ABS is set at level 3, for a greater sense of safety thanks to active rear wheel lift detection, the optimization of the combined braking and the active Cornering function.

Urban Riding Mode
Power delivery is reduced to 115 hp (Low Power Mode) with a particularly smooth and progressive response to manage continuous changes in surface. Ducati Traction Control and Ducati Wheelie Control are at a very high intervention level, while ABS is set at level 3.

Wet Riding Mode
Wet Riding Mode, designed specifically for riding on low-grip surfaces, limits maximum power to 115 hp with a particularly gentle throttle response (Low Power Mode). The predefined electronics control level is set to ensure optimum stability and grip.

Three Power Modes: High, Medium, Low
Each Riding Mode is associated with one of three Power Modes: High, Medium and Low. High and Medium modes both allow the V4 Granturismo engine to unleash its full 168 hp at 10,750 rpm and maximum torque of 126 Nm at 7500 rpm but differ in their Ride by Wire mapping settings.

High Power Mode, associated by default with Sport Riding Mode, favours a direct and puncht throttle response, ideal for sports riding. Medium Power Mode, paired by default with Touring Riding Mode, offers smoother and more progressive delivery, with a more gradual response to a rider’s demand for torque.

Öhlins SmartEC-3 semi-active suspension
The Öhlins SmartEC-3 semi-active suspension of Diavel V4 S further heightens the technical level of the bike, continuously adapting its response during braking, acceleration and cornering thanks to information identified by the IMU.

Spool-valve technology offers a wider range of adjustment compared to traditional systems, while the three Suspension Modes - Dynamic, Comfort and Low Grip – allow suspension behaviour to be adapted to the riding conditions.

The new control strategies enhance precision on corner entry and through the corner, particularly in sportier riding modes, without compromising comfort on longer journeys. The Cruise Detection function softens the suspension when travelling in a straight line, offering a more sophisticated balance between sports performance and touring comfort.

Advanced electronics
The Diavel V4 flaunts a complete and very sophisticated electronics package, with advanced control systems that intervene during the riding phases to enhance performance, precision and safety.

Cornering ABS
Cornering ABS on Diavel V4 exploits data from the Bosch IMU to optimise the braking power at both wheels, also when cornering. Integrated with the Riding Modes, it offers three levels of intervention to adapt to different riding conditions.

Level 1, dedicated to sports riding, only applies ABS at the front, disabling the Cornering function and rear-wheel lift detection, and allowing controlled yaw under braking. Level 2 keeps the Cornering function active with a sportier setting, with no rear lift detection. Level 3 prioritises safety, with Cornering ABS and rear wheel lift detection both enabled.

Ducati Traction Control (DTC)
Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO 2, derived from the Ducati Desmosedici GP18 and already used on the Panigale V4 and Streetfighter V4, exploits the six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) to adapt traction control to the lean angle. The predictive strategy analyses both rear wheel slide and its variation, pre-empting any loss in grip and heightening stability, acceleration and control out of the turn.
The system manages ignition timing and fuel injection, as well as throttle valve operation when a rapid response is not required, delivering smoother engine response. Four intervention levels are available, three for dry conditions and one for wet, to adapt control to the level of grip and riding style.

Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC)
Diavel V4 adopts Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO, which uses data from the Bosch six-axis IMU to identify and carefully control any wheelies. The system intervenes according to wheelie intensity, allowing the rider to make the most of the bike’s acceleration performance while ensuring greater control and safety.

Ducati Power Launch (DPL)
Adjustable according to three levels, Ducati Power Launch (DPL) allows a rider to make lightning starts, accentuating the dragster character of Diavel V4. Once set, the rider need only engage first gear and open the throttle: during the initial launch phase, as the rider modulates clutch release, DPL keeps the V4 Granturismo at a stable engine speed around the optimum rpm for the selected DPL level; in the second phase, once the clutch is fully released, DPL will control the amount of torque delivered to ensure maximum acceleration based on the preset level.

DPL exploits DWC functionality and keeps DTC activated at all times to ensure safety in every situation. The system automatically deactivates once the manoeuvring speed threshold is exceeded or when third gear is engaged. Additionally, an algorithm limits the number of consecutive launches to protect the clutch, with the available launches being restored during normal riding.

DLP can be adjusted according to three levels. Level 1 favours high-performance starts, while level 3 is the ‘safe and stable’ option. The new dash has a dedicated DPL feature, which displays the times recorded over the 0–100 km/h and 0–200 km/h intervals at the end of each acceleration run, recording them in the memory and keeping track of the best references.

Advanced engine management and Ducati Quick Shift 2.0
For 2027, the V4 Granturismo engine introduces a new electronic management strategy for an even smoother throttle response at low/mid-range. The shift strategy uses a sensor that provides information on the selected gear and the position of the gearbox drum to detect gearshift operation. This gives the rider a more direct feel, with shorter lever travel and a shift action that is more consistent and less spongy. These benefits are further enhanced by mounting the gear lever on bearings rather than plain bushings, reducing friction and play for an improved feel at the lever. Lastly, thanks to a new electronic gap-recovery strategy that proactively manages shock loads in the engine timing chain tensioner, the new Diavel further reduces the on-off effect of the previous model, becoming even more manageable at the slightest throttle openings.

This evolution is complemented by the new Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) 2.0, which allows the rider to shift up and down through the gears without using the clutch, delivering faster, more precise and sportier gear changes. The system builds on its predecessor with significant mechanical improvements to the gearshift lever, which replaces the traditional Hall-effect microswitch lever with a direct mechanical linkage. This also delivers a cleaner, more appealing appearance, in keeping with the Sport Cruiser design language of the left-hand footpeg area.

Electronics equipment
The Diavel V4 electronics equipment combines technology, connectivity and functionality designed to make every journey even more comfortable and intuitive, from everyday riding to long distance travel.

Hands-Free and Cruise Control
Diavel V4 retains Hands-Free ignition as standard, to facilitate refuelling, and Cruise Control, designed to make extended motorway travel more relaxing.

Connectivity and Turn-by-Turn navigation
The electronic systems are managed via the 6.9” TFT colour display which, thanks to Bluetooth connectivity, can be associated with a smartphone to receive calls, listen to music and use the Ducati Link App. Turn-by-Turn navigation is now included in the standard equipment, while a new USB-C port adds practicality during everyday use.

Heated handgrips and a lithium-ion battery as standard on the S version
Diavel V4 S adds to its standard equipment with heated handgrips, now with the same design as the standard handgrips, and a lithium-ion battery.
