The new Auto-Glide
Standard sets the pace for Ridley's 2008 line. Destinctive features such as the
satin engine finish, retro styled headlight, bobbed tank design, rubber grips,
and filament bulb turn signals create a unique look for the Standard. Designed
for the budget minded, the Auto-Glide Standard features the best of what makes
the Auto-Glide Ridley's most popular model platform ever; low seat height, light
weight, and automatic transmission.
Engine:
Natural engine finish with retro Ridley style valve covers. Naturally finished
and clear coated flywheel covers, regulator covers, and more accents.
Instruments: Tank mounted dash
includes a large, easy to read "dial" type mechanical speedometer, turn signal
indicators, battery voltage indicator, and hi/low beam indicator.
Paint: The new Auto-Glide
Standard model is available in three finishes; Black, Red, and White. The
frame, swing arm, and battery tank come standard in black high tolerance
powder coating.
Front End: Functionally
identical to the rest of the 2008 model line, the Standard's front end is
finished with a natural look. The brightened aluminum is finished with clear
powder coating to provide long life.
Safety: Additional reflectors
adorn the front and rear fenders to enhance visibility at night and during the
day.
Exhaust: Engine exhaust noise
has been reduced by increasing the exhaust pipe size and adding additional
baffling. Optional exhaust is also available.
Transmission: The '08
Auto-Glide Standard features Ridley's early style Type I automatic
transmission. Transmission belt replacements are less than $50!
Design:
Full fenders front and rear. New “bobbed” split tank design is a look borrowed
from the Auto-Glide Old School. Built on the same frame as other Auto-Glide
models, most accessories and after market equipment fit with ease. From
saddlebags to driving lights and motorcycle covers, they fit and look great on
the Auto-Glide Standard.
