Peugeot P2X Café Racer Concept

.

Peugeot Motorcycles is now a subsidiary of the Indian manufacturer Mahindra Group since 2015.  It was only expected that they will build two-wheelers together at some point.

The Peugeot P2X 300cc Cafe Racer and the P2X 125cc Roadster concepts were revealed at the 2018 Paris Motor Show.  The Mahindra Mojo was used as the donor motorcycle for both models.

“Participating in the return of Peugeot to the world of motorcycles is injecting even more emotion into the design mission that is entrusted to me by this 120 years old French company,” said Damien Basset, Head of Design at Peugeot Motorcycles.

“We have paid immense attention to the proportions of this city bike, studied every millimetre of each of its surfaces. P2X is THE new Peugeot motorcycle.”

Both bikes feature double overhead cam, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engines, upside-down forks and dual shocks.   Both bikes have front and rear ABS and a 5” full-colour TFT dash complete with i-Connect Bluetooth for smartphone pairing and GPS.

The 125cc Roadster is styled after the Peugeot 515 from the 1930’s, right down to the ‘Legend’ Peugeot Motorcycles logo on the side panels and spoked, chrome wheels.

The 300cc Café Racer is finished in Peugeot sport colours and has clip-on bars, forged wheels and a single seat.
