Yamaha TW200 Street Tracker by Purpose Built Moto

.

Tom Gilroy, fonder of Purpose Built Moto based in Gold Coast, Australia, customized a Yamaha TW200 trail bike into a this Custom Tracker.

The owner wanted an Urban Assault vehicle, and Tom's first step was to get rid of the seat and building a new seat section that hugged the frame. He removed the tiny aluminium tank and fitted a larger tank, finishing it off with a welded-in pop up cap.

Some engine modifications were done by Dynomite moto. The original oversize carburator was replaced witha FCR carburator.

The bespoke exhaust with a Torpedo reverse cone muffler was fitted under the seat.

The original wheels, 19” front and 15” rear, were replaced by Motard size rim 17” x 3.00 in the front and a excel rim 17” x 5.00 at the rear, and shod with a set of Shinko Hook-up Drag tyres.

The factory instrumentation has been replaced by a stacked Daytona speedo and tach that are now nestled on the left side of the tank, which is on of Tom's favourite modifications. All of the electrics are hidden neatly under the seat.

Other features include a 7” LED headlight, a set of high rise blue-anodized Renthal bars, a repositioned mono-shock paired with an extended swing-arm, PBM switchgear and taillight.

The frame, brackets, hubs and front disc were to be an electric blue, with the tank getting a retro stripe design in satin black and faded blue’s to top it all off.

A bespoke A-symmetrical Alcantara leather seat with blue stitching finished the off the retro-themed street tracker.
