Suzuki GSX-R 1000R by Haxch Moto

Haxch Moto’s Marc Bell surprised visitors at the 2026 Bike Shed Moto Show in London with the debut of the Cyclone — a custom 2022 Suzuki GSX-R1000R that pays homage to classic Japanese sportsbikes of the 1980s and 90s.

At its heart, the Cyclone keeps the original 2022 GSX-R1000R’s potent 999cc inline-four engine producing 199 horsepower. The main frame, swingarm, subframe, and front forks remain in place, preserving the bike’s modern superbike handling and performance, but updated with Maxton components.

Key modifications include:
- Maxton components fitted into the standard forks and with a Maxton rear shock
- Striking white Dymag three-spoke CH3A wheels
- Radial Hel brake calipers up front
- Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa tyres for grip
- A period-correct Yoshimura RS-3 exhaust can
- A full suite of lightweight carbon fibre bodywork — the first time Haxch Moto has used carbon for an entire project
- A hidden fuel cell tucked beneath a classic-style tank cover
- A modern AiM digital dash with built-in lap timer, replacing the stock LCD
- Jetprime racing switchgear

Every part of the bodywork was designed using 3D scanning of the donor bike, CAD modelling, and 3D-printed test parts before the final carbon pieces were created. Billet aluminium components, including the fuel cap and headlight housing, were also CAD-designed for a perfect fit.

Only five examples of the Cyclone will be built. The first has already been completed for a customer, with pricing expected around £50,000 including the base bike.

The Cyclone follows in the footsteps of Marc Bell’s popular Slabshot build and proves you can have classic 80s and 90s Suzuki style without sacrificing modern superbike power.
