Star Raider

.

One rarely thinks of custom motorcycles when discussing baseball, but when you have the confluence of a galaxy of stars from the two sports, and the specter of charity is added to the mix, only good can come of it.

In this case, Nick Anglada Originals-known for its outrageous custom sport bikes-teamed with the Ken Griffey Jr. Family Foundation and Star Motorcycles to create a truly one-of-a-kind highly customized Raider for the benefit of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Debuted to much fanfare by Star at the International Motorcycle Show in Long Beach, Calif., the extraordinarily colorful Raider earns its unparalleled distinction due to the inclusion of six baseballs autographed by Ken Griffey Jr., as well as Hall of Famers Hank Aaron and Willie Mays. Uniquely, the baseball parts are housed behind proprietary Gator Glass inside the custom fuel tank.

"This motorcycle represents a lot of committed people coming together and making a difference for the children served by the Boys & Girls Clubs of America," said Nick Anglada, owner of Nick Anglada Originals. Contributors to the Star Raider custom bike include Leo Vince Exhaust, Star Accessories, Progressive Suspension, Dunlop Tires, Mustang Seats, Burly Brand Handlebars, Tanury Industries (vaporized titanium PVD coating for the chrome), Supreme Legends (forward controls), Küryakyn (swingarm covers), Galfer Brakes, and Gator Customs.

"I truly enjoyed working with Ken Griffey Jr. and the Ken Griffey Jr. Family Foundation. Ken really pulled through for the kids he cares about and even brought in two of his legendary baseball colleagues to help the cause," Anglada said.

The Nick Anglada Originals Star Raider will be up for bidding at this summer's Barrett-Jackson car and motorcycle auction in Orange County, California.
