Diamond Atelier Hyperbike
The Diamond Atelier DA#22, also known as ULTRON, is a groundbreaking road-legal hyperbike prototype unveiled at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Built in Munich by Diamond Atelier, this machine aims to bridge superbikes and hypercars with radical design, handcrafted details, and serious performance. Diamond Atelier, a custom workshop founded in 2013, is known for premium cafe racers and unique builds, often based on BMWs. With the DA#22—their 22nd major project—they stepped into new territory. They started with the design and surface language first, then packaged the mechanicals around it, rather than modifying an existing bike. The result is a radically shortened, aggressive silhouette that looks unlike any production motorcycle.
At its heart sits a tuned KTM LC8 V-twin engine from the 1290 Super Duke, delivering over 205 horsepower. The suspension features a Wilbers TYPE 46 RR front fork derived from World Superbike tech and a fully custom rear shock built just for this bike. High-end components include Gilles Tooling controls and rearsets, plus F1-inspired switchgear and an illuminated clutch cover from DKB Special Parts. The real star is the bodywork. Over 800 hours went into hand-shaping complex aluminium panels by Marvin Diehl of KRT Framework. These panels feature double curves, sharp transitions, and flowing lines inspired by classic coachbuilding. The tank melts into the body, massive radiator shrouds dominate the view, and an ultra-short tail appears to float above the rear wheel. A voltage-activated electroluminescent paint, developed specially for the project by Alex Bloch of Stilbruch Lack, makes the entire bike glow an intense red from within. Only one litre of this paint was made, and it was all used here, so this exact finish can never be duplicated.
A real diamond, set in sterling silver, sits at the centre of the 3D-printed titanium upper triple clamp from Aconity3D. This literal interpretation of the workshop’s name is the signature detail. The same company also printed the titanium exhaust system. Even the front tyre gets special treatment — a unique diamond-pattern tread machined by 4JET that ties into the bike’s theme. Electronics and cooling systems are completely hidden for a clean, minimalist look, with the cockpit tucked beneath integrated glass. Diamond Atelier calls the DA#22 the world’s first true hyperbike. It’s a fully running prototype that treats bodywork as architecture, not just skin. Aluminium serves as the testbed, with future limited examples planned in carbon fibre. It’s not just another custom bike — it’s a statement piece that combines old-world handcraft with cutting-edge manufacturing.
This motorcycle proves that bold ideas can still
exist in a world of strict regulations. The DA#22 isn’t trying
to fit in — it’s here to stand out, glow red, and turn heads
wherever it goes. Perfect for collectors who want something
truly one-of-a-kind.
