BMW "9T HYPERMOTARD" by Lord Drake Kustoms
From an article supplied by Lord Drake Kustoms: In the world of motorcycle customization, few brands manage to constantly innovate without losing their identity. One of them is Lord Drake Kustoms, a workshop internationally recognized for its ability to transform any motorcycle into a true work of art. Its latest creation once again underlines why Lord Drake Kustoms's reviews and opinions are always so positive in the industry: the “9T HYPERMOTARD,” a BMW R NineT converted to hypermotard style and probably one of the first of its kind in the world. The BMW R NineT has, since its inception, been an iconic model within the retro, café racer, and custom segments in general. It has been a motorcycle widely used in customization projects such as scrambler and brat style, but until now, hardly anyone had taken the step of transforming it into a hypermotard. With the "9T HYPERMOTARD," Lord Drake Kustoms once again demonstrates its pioneering spirit and ability to take every project to a whole new level.
The result is striking. The new "9T HYPERMOTARD" combines the premium character and German engineering of BMW with an aggressive and sporty aesthetic. The riding position, the redesigned subframe with a handcrafted tailpipe, as well as the front fairing and front fender. The suspension adjustments, including the upgrade of the rear shock absorber, which has been replaced with an Ohlins, give this bike the DNA of a true biker, but with the unique personality of a NineT. Aesthetically, the pearly white, black, and orange tones give it dynamism and freshness, while the carbon details (spoiler, hand guards, air intake) and handcrafted finishes highlight the quality of the finished work, with a seat upholstered in Alcantara leather with orange thread.
It's not just a visual transformation. The bike has received technical improvements that enhance its performance. The standard Brembo brakes ensure stopping power, the optimized exhaust system with a Supertrapp tailpipe offers a more aggressive sound, and the ergonomics have been refined to offer extreme fun on both mountain roads and urban commutes. The "9T HYPERMOTARD" is not simply a styling exercise: it's a machine ready to ride. According to Fran Manen, founder of Lord Drake Kustoms, the challenge was risky: "We wanted to demonstrate that the BMW R NineT could also be transformed into a hypermotard without losing its original essence. The result has been spectacular, and we believe it will set a trend."
With the "9T HYPERMOTARD," Lord
Drake Kustoms isn't just presenting a unique motorcycle; it's marking a turning
point in the history of BMW R NineT transformations. An exclusive, daring, and
character-filled creation that's already emerging as a milestone in the world of
international customization.
