Yamaha XS 650 "Type 6" by Auto Fabrica

.

Based on a Yamaha XS650 – a genuine barn-find from a farm in Cornwall – the Auto Fabrica Type 6 is a clutter-free powerhouse in the spirit of the Japanese design theory of Kanso, which cultivates the idea of simplicity.
Bujar Julien and our friends have told the story.

"This Yamaha XS 650 is part of a batch rescued from a rural area. With these bikes began Auto Factory"

These guys never leave anything to chance and take their time designing and outlining what then will be the final design. Photoshop, pen and paper and many designs and ideas as may be necessary to seek perfection in lines and execution. Thus they getting clean but very interesting designs.

The body is constructed using aluminum sheets 2.5 mm thick and is manufactured such that the reservoir assembly and seat are a single piece. An important element in the design are the exhaust manifolds. Constructed of stainless steel hand themselves was achieved integrating two separate baffles inside to both sound pressure outside the proper gases. Thus still retain the refined line assembly. Great job!

"The original idea was to use the final portion of the tank, where it joins the seat as air inlet to the carburetor. In the end we realized that this would be too big a job and jeopardize the objective of simplicity we set ourselves "

For carburetors was designed and built an entrance or common nozzle for both cylinders so we can mount a single carburetor. If you look closely this is offset to the left side of the motorcycle while the exhaust flow through the opposite side. An interesting asymmetric equilibrium. The engine has been rebuilt and mounted new oversize pistons. The block has been painted in black "textured" and silver.

And you would imagine that the chassis had to be modified cuantiosamente. The steering head was delayed 2 inches. If you look closely the line of the bike is continuous from headlight to tail, to the top of the tank. The rear of the chassis has been adapted to fit the new seat and in line with the overall design. The front fork has been completely rebuilt and integrated a "fork covers" custom built for attaining more visual strength in the front group. Additionally gets cover the lower triple.

The original rear hub has radiated stainless steel alloy hoop, like the front tire, but this time the front hub comes from a Laverda SF750 TLS. NOS headlight H4 adapted to mount bulbs and a discreet rear light rescued an old bicycle to which you have mounted LED lights.
