Reunion Electric Roadster by Italian Volt

.

A year after the debut of its Lacama electric motorcycle prototype, Milan-based bespoke electric motorcycle manufacturer Italian Volt has released this special edition called The Reunion.

Italian Volt was set up by three partners, out of which two - Nicola Colombo and Valerio Fumagalli - hold a Guinness Record for the longest distance travelled on an electric motorcycle. In 2013, the duo travelled 12,379 km from Shanghai, China to Milan in 44 days, purely on electric power. The dream to build their own electric motorcycle resulted in Italian Volt, with contribution from Adriano Stellino, a designer with stints in Lamborghini and Bertone.

This flat track-inspired design Reunion, named after the Monza's Reunion motorcycle show, has a chopped seat and cruiser-style headlight built on the Lacama platform.

It has a 0-kW (94-hp) electric drivetrain and barrel-chested 15-kWh battery pack.

The Reunion can accelerate to a 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.6 seconds, with a limited top speed of 180km/h (112mph) with an approximate range around 200 mixed-cycle kilometers.  Italian Volt says it's likely this might be increased in future software updates as further efficiencies in motor control and battery management are identified.

Each Italian Volt bike is tailored to its buyer.
