Building on the MT range’s burgeoning prestige, Mr. Solsona eagerly presented the new flagship 1000MT-X. The bike will slot at the top of the MT spectrum thanks in part to the 946.2 cc parallel-twin liter engine platform, pumping out 83kW (111hp) at 8500rpm and a maximum torque of 105Nm at 6250rpm (with a high torque range) but also due to other standout features. Bosch MSE 9.0 EFI helps to finesse the superb linear delivery and throttle response, chiselled through more than 100,000km endurance tests. The 1000MT-X is light (the powerplant is 56kg) through fabrication that involves a lightweight alloy crankcase and precision-formed camshafts. The dry weight is 199kg. The 1000MT-X delivers impressive agility. Engineered for long-range travel, the 22.5L tank offers over 450 km of range under comprehensive riding conditions. There is also a focused approach to ergonomics with the thin upper section and 2-1 seat meaning the rider will be comfortable and can rely on prime feedback whether standing or sitting.

The 1000MT-X has been constructed to go the distance. Aerospace-grade 7-series aluminium rims will crush the milometer (67% higher tensile strength than conventional alloys) and Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR will keep grip all the way. Premium components litter the bike. Fully adjustable KYB suspension and a full, potent Brembo brake system combine with other aspects like a Bosch 6-axis IMU for five ride modes, ABS, dynamic traction control and more, all administered through the highly-resistant 8-inch touchscreen TFT. TPMS, a quickshifter, heated grips and saddle, cruise control and adjustable handlebars and windscreen come as standard and there are also protective elements like a skid plate, handguards and a chain guard. The aesthetics make the 1000MT-X hard to miss and the bike comes in two colour options: Zephyr Blue or Tactical Green.

The dedication to the 1000MT-X inspired the CFMOTO designers: what would be the next step for such a usable and inviting motorcycling ‘tool’? The answer led to the 1000MT-X CRAFTED, specifically for EICMA, and to demonstrate how the 1000MT-X can be altered and personalized. The 1000MT-X CRAFTED in Italy had bronze forks and wheels with satin-gray engine covers, a grippy frame protector, a magnetic swingarm cover and protection bars, creating a premium yet rugged appearance. Riders can generate their own memories and explore their freedom with the 1000MT-X, but the CRAFTED concept proved that imagination can run wild. The bike can be moulded even more to the adventurer’s taste.
