AC Schnitzer S 1000RR

AC Schnitzer tweaked the BMW S1000RR. It’s not often you can look at a new 1000cc superbike from an aftermarket tuner and realise they have made it more comfortable and a little more practical, but that’s exactly what German BMW tuning masters AC Schnitzer has done.

AC Schnitzer has been fettling BMW for years and the S1000RR is the latest machine to be tweaked – just not in the obvious performance enhancing ways. The biggest change is the fitment of new adjustable handlebars and yoke which swop the clip-ons for a straight bar and have an adjustable clamp.

The AC Schnitzer bike has new brake and clutch levers, a carbon fibre exhaust silencer, crash bungs, performance air-filter and a numberplate hanger.

"Avoid Silence“ - the phrase perfectly describes the S 1000 RR by BMW. With its loud roar, it has turned the Superbike world inside out.

Sporting yet comfortable describes the new Superbike handlebar conversion by AC Schnitzer. Totally in black, it harmonizes perfectly with all BMW colours. The Superbike handlebar conversion includes everything necessary for installation, designed for the standard equipment level of the S 1000 RR. To match, there is a new brake fluid reservoir which is a real eye-catcher with its striking filigree design.

New aspects at the rear entrance the observer both visually and acoustically. For the road, there is the AC Schnitzer STEALTH silencer with EC approval, which gives the AC Schnitzer S 1000 RR Avoid Silence the final visual and acoustic finishing touch. Its matt black surface and carbon cap ensure it harmonizes perfectly with the overall aesthetics - and it weighs in at just over 1 kg.

A better view of the rear wheel is possible thanks to the stable stainless steel registration plate holder which bolts onto the standard support. Without registration, it fulfils all requirements for legal fitment and can be used both with standard flashers and most accessory components.

One totally new development is the AC Schnitzer crash pads, which with an innovative 3D design not only effectively prevent drop damage but also fit perfectly into the design language of the BMW Superbike.

Perfect control and stylish design are provided by the adjustable AC Schnitzer brake and clutch levers. Made of high strength aerospace aluminium, they have a wide adjustment range to ensure the perfect grip even for small hands. The shade is called Titanium, and perfectly suits its refined finish. These approved levers are available in a short version as well as the original length.

As for all BMW models, the S 1000 RR can also be fitted with adapters for larger mirrors to ensure good rearward visibility .... but who would be coming from there?
