As happened in 1982 before the final of the World Cup in Germany, the President of MV Agusta Motor S.p.A., Claudio Castiglioni, again promised the Italian players and coach an MV Agusta Brutale 910R "Italia". This is a special edition model of one of the most prestigious motorcycles in the world. It is a symbol of Made in Italy and as such, an internationally recognised award. The motorcycle designed for the Italian team will be a limited edition model called "Italia", and will feature a colour scheme based on the Italian flag and the team jerseys.

To make the Brutale "Italia" exclusive, the colour scheme will feature light blue bodywork and the word "Italia" in the gold shade that adorned the team jerseys during the 2006 World Cup. The words "Campioni del Mondo 2006" will be featured on the fuel tank below a copy of the cup presented to the winners. Each of the machines presented to the individual team members will also bear the same number as his jersey. Each will also have a small gold plate on the steering head bearing the player's name and number. The same model will be manufactured in a limited edition of 100 that will be made available to MV Agusta collectors and enthusiasts.
