The FLSTN was nicknamed the "Cow Glide" for the tasteful application of furry Holstein inserts on the seat and saddlebags. The official designation was the "Nostalgia," but Cow Glide was much more entertaining. The two-toned "fur" applied to the seat and saddlebags of the FLSTN only added to the appeal of the black and white paint scheme.
