With on-board computer, incredible attention to detail, and unmistakable Supermotard styling, the 2008 Suzuki DR-125SM is one of the most desirable learner-legal motorbikes on the market.

The epitome of killer cool, it's edgy, angular looks include eye catching body work cut outs, plus slits on the tank, frame covers, and headlights, all inspired by traditional Japanese Oni demon fangs and horns.

But there's much more to these very special new motorcycles than just good looks. From the RK Excel aluminium rims to the fuel injected 124cc engine at its heart, this is a bike that's bristling with technology to make your ride smoother, safer, and cleaner.

The compact, lightweight engine features an aluminium alloy cylinder, cylinder head, and cover combined with highly efficient flat-type piston and pentroof combustion chamber, to produce an impressively smooth power output across the range.

Other innovations include SJCS (Suzuki Jet Cooling System) which jets oil at high speeds to the piston and cylinder wall for increased durability and lower oil consumption, a 16bit ROM microcomputer to precisely control the air/fuel ratio for maximum performance and minimum emissions, and ISC (Idling Speed Control). A lot of technical stuff, which few of the DR 125SM's mainly young riders will care about, but which combine where it counts to give them the kind of performance they've been dreaming about since their provisional licence arrived.

Proper Suzuki Motorcycles

This is no little learner, this is pure street machine through and through - from the impressive acceleration to the agile handling, from the sporty chassis to the all round disc brakes. It looks great, rides well, and has a pride factor you just can't put a price on.

It is quite simply the last word in first bikes that is guaranteed to start a two-wheel obsession that will last a lifetime. Welcome aboard boys.
