Overview |

Frame and fairing of the SuperTraveller are to a large
extent identical with the MZ 1000 S that is produced in the Zschopau factory
since 2004. The 4-stroke, inline twin engine is identical with the MZ 1000
SF SuperFighter that has been launched recently. The engine is tuned for
torque (98 Nm) and has a top performance of 83 kW (113hp) at 9000 rpm.
The features of the new SuperTraveller have been designed
for comfortable journeys: A different handle bar and low foot rests ensure
that the seating position is absolutely perfect for long distances. The
screen is 30 mm higher compared to the MZ 1000 S to grant more wind
protection with an upright seating position. A new rear seat cushion
provides more comfort for the pillion rider. Optimised clutch springs reduce
the hand-force to operate the clutch by 20%.
In addition, the manufacturer offers a luggage system that
can carry the luggage of 2 people for long journeys. The basis of this
luggage system are two 40 l side cases that can be upgraded to total 120 l
and 25 kg carrying capacity with an additional 40 l top case. A steering
damper which has been developed especially for this purpose keeps the bike
100% stable with maximum load.
The name "SuperTraveller" is connected to the successful "Skorpion
Traveller" that has been produced until 2000. Due to its reliability and
high practical use, most of its owners still use the bike daily.
