The “quarter-litre” category was considered a small displacement abroad, but not in Italy, where a 250cc engine was a large capacity engine.
The “Raid” was therefore a pleasant surprise for enthusiasts, however, the level of performance was average and therefore it did not meet great sales success.
The name was selected after a survey with MV dealers.
A“Raid Extra” with higher quality finish and details was also produced.
