After having produced several 2 stroke 125cc models, in 1954 it was decided to concentrate on 4 stroke engines for the 125cc category as well.
The public was ever more interested in sporty and technologically advanced motorcycles and at Cascina Costa they were ready for a new generation of motors.
The pushrod distribution was traditional, as was the chassis. Several variants were also produced: Extra, Lusso, Extra Lusso and America.
