OCC Natural Gas Powered Chopper
The versatility of natural gas for vehicles in on
display yet again, this time in the form of a chopper motorcycle, put together
for the US TV show “American Chopper” as part of Chesapeake Energy’s 20 year
anniversary celebration. Lincoln Composites, Inc., a subsidiary of Hexagon
Composites ASA, has designed and manufactured a custom all-composite,
lightweight CNG fuel tank for the motorcycle, built by Orange County Choppers.
The project was in partnership with Orange County Choppers, who asked for a
powerful “green” chopper for the hit US TV Show “American Chopper”. A Lincoln
Composites press release states the world’s first natural gas powered Chopper
was primarily built to show the American people that natural gas is a true
American energy answer and it can power everything from a chopper to semi-truck.
