Triumph Thruxton 904 Ace
Special

This Triumph Thruxton 904 Ace
Special is created by Tony Scott of T3 Racing (he also runs the Triumph Triple
Challenge racing series) in conjunction with the Ace Café, the Thruxton 904 Ace
Special has a Bob Farnham tuned, big-bore 904cc air-cooled, parallel twin
cylinder engine, race bred suspension, brakes and electronic dash.
It’s beautifully screwed together and the paint-finish is out of this world.
A production run of 15 is planned and will cost £15,999.
I got to ride it around the back-roads near Brands Hatch, just up the road from
T3 racing’s workshop and the biggest compliment I can give, it is that it goes
as beautifully as it looks.
The motor has smooth power from nowhere to 8500rpm, the HM quickshifter-assisted
gearbox is slick and the handling is easily good enough for the track.
Add to this a deep, burbling soundtrack from the handmade stainless steel
exhausts and drop-dead gorgeous looks, and this is easily the best of the bunch
of very fine modified Triumph Thruxtons I’ve had the pleasure of riding.
