Spirit of the Seventies Triumph Scrambler

No matter which angle you view this latest build by Kent-based Spirit of the Seventies, the aesthetics stop you in your tracks. But that’s only to be expected when you have two arty types, Tim Rogers and Kevin Taggart, steering the company - one a professional photographic, the other a graphics designer, and both sharing a deep passion for building hot-rod motorcycles with retro style.

This latest street scrambler-styled Triumph is dubbed the 904 Dirt Twin and breaks new ground for Spirit. Previous builds were based on pepped-up 1970s bikes with fresher neo-retro styling cues, but this Brit twin, based on a 2006 Scrambler model, is their first build with a contemporary machine. But they applied that same hot-rod/retro ethos.

Rogers told MCN: "The customer came to us via one of our parts suppliers, LSL. He said he wanted a TPR-styled bike but we weren’t prepared to copy someone else’s work and said, we’d love the project but it would be our take on the street scrambler look."
