BMW R45 Café Racer

This BMW R45 is a perfect example of that. The R45 was produced by BMW from 1978-1985 and came stock with the same horizontally opposed 473cc boxer engine that you see here. This however is a far cry from anything that left the showroom.

Built by Francesco Pagnin of Treviso, Italy, this R45 is the epitome of what a café racer should be. Taking a very minimalist approach the “FortyFive” is clad in beautiful black and white paint, with gold accents being used for the front triple clamps, forks and rear shaft drive housing. The fuel tank is from a BMW R100 with the mufflers being hand fabricated by Mr. Pagnin himself. These bikes are stunning to look at and provide individuals with another facet of motorcycling that is seldom seen.
