Can-Am F3-S Spyder Special Triple Black

.

Using the 75th annual 2015 Strugis Motorcycle Rally as a backdrop, BRP has unveiled the first model in its 2016 Can-Am lineup – the Can-Am Spyder F3-S Special Series in Triple Black.

“There is no better place to unveil the first ever Can-Am Spyder F3 Special Series than here at the 75th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally,” said François Tremblay, director, Global Marketing, Can-Am Spyder. “We have a great deal of current Spyder owners here to help us celebrate, and it is a perfect opportunity to show off this eye-catching new model to such a huge crowd of motorcyclists.”

The new F3-S Special takes last year’s new model, the muscle-cruiser styled Can-Am Spyder F-3, and mates it with a Triple Black color scheme and graphics, six-spoke black chrome front wheels and a tinted low winsdscreen.

Just like the Can-Am Spyder F3 – a recipient of the prestigious Red Dot Award for Product Design in 2015 – the 2016 Can-Am Spyder F3-S Special arrives with a Rotax 1330 ACE engine that is mated to a SE-6 transmission. The F3-S Special also features a low center of gravity and a “performance-calibrated Vehicle Stability System that provides dynamic handling and great cornering, while ensuring unprecedented control.”

Back in 2007 when BRP introduced the Can-Am Spyder three-wheeler, motorcyclists (and everyone else) wondered what the heck it was. The three-wheeler configuration was reversed with a single-driven wheel in the back and two front wheels, an ATV chassis, and quite possibly one of the strangest looking vehicles to hit the streets. But it caught on and with successive improvements over the years, it has become a popular option for those who want the thrill of motorcycle cruising with a different dimension and a lower curve for riding skills.
