Couple of guys from US started building their own
version of American Sport tourer. And coming to the most important part of the
machine – engine – they chose the hard path. To build their
own! We present you the Motus MST-01 KMV4. You would probably say – what is so
interesting about “some motorcycles engine”. Well, that’s where you have to
watch the video in order to fully understand the idea behind it. In principle,
it’s an Hot Rod engine for bikes!
And from my “not so technical” background I would say that this engine is 1/2 of
Corvette’s V8 pushrod. So V4, but mounted in similar style to Moto Guzzi. Engine
will be simple, with very usable powerband, and quite torquey. And yes, it’s the
first Direct Injected motorcycle engine (that’s what GDI stands for).
Now, we must mention the “not so interesting
part”. The motorcycle itself. An American Sport Tourer as they would call it.
From the first sketches, and a clay model you can see in the background (see
video), it’s nothing revolutionary.

1645cc (100ci) liquid-cooled 90º V4; dual OHV; pushrod; chain-driven single cam;
